J. Marberger Stuart(1927-1993) was a noted author, lecturer, historian, performer and judge of the art of Magic. He was an international prize winning magician and honorary life member of The Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. With his wife, Marjorie, J. Marberger Stuart was the co-author and co-producer of the 1969 Off-Broadway play, Make Me Disappear, which featured a vanishing elephant. He served as a judge at F.I.S.M. representing the United States and was chairman of the Judging committee for the Christopher Awards given by the Milbourne Christopher Foundation. In recognition of his contributions to the art of magic, the Society of American Magicians has elected J. Marberger Stuart to its Hall of Fame. |
